Verweij & Hoebee has been a surveying company in the field of shipping and industry with offices in Amsterdam, Barendrecht and Den Helder, for over 100 years. The company employs 17 employees in total, of which 10 are surveyors. This group of surveyors consists mainly out of former marine engineers and officers, but also of technical engineers, naval architects, P & I specialists, electrical engineers and nautical specialist who all minimally hold a Bachelor's degree.
We are mainly working in the Netherlands and in Europe, but also further afield. We focus on both inland shipping, sea going shipping, offshore and offshore wind, but also on other technical areas.
The activities include ascertaining the cause and extent of damage, conducting appraisals and inspections, but also various other surveys and inspections for which technical knowledge and experience is necessary. Verweij & Hoebee also attends ship salvages and monitors fire prevention systems during the new building and overhaul of ships.
Principals of Verweij & Hoebee are (international) Hull & Machinery Insurers and P & I clubs, as well as ship owners, operators and oil / offshore companies.
